2024 Anchorage Ole' Photography SIG/Alaska Photo Chat Contest

Minimalist

Minimalist photography is a form of photography that is distinguished by extreme simplicity. It focuses solely on the smallest number of objects, and it’s normally composed in a clean, clinical way with very little differences in the colors and tones of the image.

Minimalism can be applied to pretty much every genre of photography, including portrait, landscape, still life, architecture, and even street shooting. But minimalist photos do have a few key characteristics:

Minimalist photography is often described as having a meditative quality thanks to the simplicity of the composition. Less is more.
